Dr. Seuss’ Birthday Is Celebrated at Reading Is Key Event
Members of the Tulsa, Oklahoma Alumnae Association helped celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss on March 2 with the Pre-K classes at Kerr Elementary School. The alumnae helped the children pick out their free books distributed by Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), read to the children, helped make bookmarks and provided snacks. The students at Kerr are part of an under-served community faced with poverty and cultural diversity with a large Hispanic population. We look forward to another successful Reading Is Key event next year!
